White Light/White Heat is the art fag who blows up later; Velvet Underground is the apparently nice guy that's secretly another Jeffrey Dahmer at a beat poetry reading. Parents should love all their children.

One is in my top 10, and the other isn't and I happen to think it's actually the least solid of their albums, other than Another View and Squeeze. Sorry but overall, I prefer song craft over wild ramshackle noise fests, but that's just me.
