The Supremes said ACA is constitutional because it is funded by a tax. Guess who is paying that tax.

People that will pay the tax are those citizens that don't already have health insurance once that provision goes into affect. That is not new -- that tax penalty has been part of the ACA law since it was signed by President Obama. Like any other insurance, it's necessary for everyone who uses this insurance to pay into the insurance regardless of their current need, just the same as i pay for my health insurance through my company.

But your claim about a "major tax increase" is unfounded.

Really? Who will pay for the poor and the unisurables? Taxes on everybody. BO said over and over ACA not a tax until passed, then told courts it was. BO double speak.

Nobody that is a citizen should be uninsurable. That's just a poor position to have. Everybody should have the right to live, not just fetuses. To deny someone health care because they can't afford it is to possibly deny them life. (It's also my position that those not citizens in this country should still be covered by our health care system, but that wasn't in the law so i'll leave that be.)

The "poor and uninsurable" that you seem to look down upon will pay for their insurance in proportion to their household income. Insurance companies will also have to adjust. I'm sure the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act law is available online if you want to read it in detail for a more accurate representation of the law.

President Obama believed it wasn't a tax. Their legal team thought it constitutional under the commerce clause. John Roberts, appointed by George Bush, was the swing vote in saying that it actually is a tax and therefore constitutional.

(And it's still an awesome day!)

So it's only double-speak to people that endeavor to hate him and his policies and his political party regardless of the laws he signs and regardless of what he says or does.

I don't look down on the poor and currently unisurables. The fact is they won't be paying their fair tax. Everybody else will. The insurance companies will tax us accordingly. Those who still don't want insurance will still be taxed and hounded by the IRS.

BO's attorneys behind the scenes argued that it was a tax before the Supremes concurred.

"their fair tax" ? They're already poor and can barely provide for their families, what more do you want for them to pay? Fair is what they can fairly afford.

Insurance companies will be tempted to increase premium rates as a result so they can continue to make a hefty profit for their CEOs, company board and shareholders.

Those who don't want insurance are fooling themselves. EVERYONE grows old. EVERYONE can become sick or injured unexpectedly. It's literally a matter of life and death. This is the system we have now that "taxes" (as you'd call it) those that pay for health insurance twice, once for their own family and once in rate increases to cover those that don't pay.

(lol at your "behind the scenes" coverage. Please tell me you work for TMZ -- i need to know EVERYTHING about Mila Kunis's social life!)

I have worked since 1969 in insurance and financial services. The government doesn't know best.
