If by "it" you are refering to what uninformed democrats like to say about republicans, than yes, it does sum "it" up perfectly.

But otherwise, what you may not realize is that by having the government decide everyone's healthcare, regardless of what they actually want to pick, we've allowed the government to take a major step, not just towards socialism, but towards some sort of creepy orwellian big brother society. I'm glad the poor have healthcare. I'm not glad that the government decides how you live your life, and that they make all the important decisions for doctors. If there is one area where I don't want people cutting corners due to high costs, its when their operating on my brain, and the government has only paid for a rusty swiss army knife.

I don't like that theres no one outside Obama's oppressive system, to make their own choices and pay for their own tools.

Either way, its a horrible idea, and I really hoped it was going to be ruled against. Unfortunately, its a hard thing to voice an opinion against, since peoples immediate reaction is OMG U HATE POOR PPL!!!!!!

oh well.

Man, I really hate it when i go to an UK hospital and to perform surgery they use a rusty scalpel and when I scream in pain give me no better anesthetic than some rum. All because of having a tax funded health service.

Overreaction by Zebra, obviously. If you already have health insurance, you keep it. If you already have a primary doctor you like under said health insurance, you continue to see them.

This panicky "the government's taking over my health care decisions" is simply unfounded and reminds me a lot of the "death panel" BS from when the law was still being vetted. Just settle down. Things will be ok. And be thankful that you can't be denied health care anymore.

I never said anything about hating poor people. I think that most opposition to Obamacare is due to an off-target fear of 'big' government, or hating it out of opposition duty.

In Canada, we can go to any doctor we want. We are not told anything by the government regarding our health that the US doesn't also do. Doctors are not controlled by the government. This "I'm afraid that Healthcare leads to government control of my life" is a load of bunk, and belongs in an Ayn Rand novel.

The US has the most inefficient healthcare system in the developed world. Something needs to be done about it, but as long as politics is about demonizing the other side rather than creating a livable society, little is going to happen. Currently the sitting president is at least doing something while the GOP's stand on the healthcare issue (much like every issue since GWB left office) is to make a mockery of those voters of theirs that actually are concerned with in what direction political decisions take the nation.
