Hi there,

On BEA, there's an option to download a chart into CSV form. I like this idea. However, with the advent of yearly charts, it'd take upwards of 60+ set of clicks through the website to download each chart separately.

Can you create a way to download ALL of a member's charts into one file? Maybe it'd need to be in XLS or a similar formalized format, where each entry is its own tab/sheet in the overall spreadsheet. I'd just like the ability to download everything at once, formatted separately by chart, instead of having to click through the site repeatedly, then copying each separate chart into a spreadsheet.

Let me add that, not stated in the thread subject, i'd prefer the XLS format over plain CSV. There are enough free versions of software to read XLS and similar formats that this should be useful for multiple people.

Thank you for listening. Keep up the good work.

There's a bunch of freebies or shareware out there to convert CSV file to something more legible. On my mac i use OpenOffice. I'm not sure if there's a windows version, but there's other stuff out there. Check downloads.cnet.com or sourceforge.net, or simply google, for starters.

No problem, I'll add to the list and look into doing something to combine it all together into a single download. The reason CSV was chosen is because it is an open format. Most software can read it, and it doesn't restrict people to a particular software application. (If there were multiple charts in the same file, XML would probably be the file format that I'd choose, to keep the format non-proprietary).

XML might work. i haven't tried it before, but it's a readable option.

the other option, that I thought of afterwards, would be a Zip file containing multiple CSVs...

That might work too. At least it'd all be downloadable at once. There's still the task of importing each CSV into spreadsheet software a sheet at a time, but it's a good start.
