No, Stein is not a socialist and at times he does advocate higher taxes on the wealthy. He has also said that, due to the tremendous amount of national debt, we should increase taxes on the wealthy and that ultimately everyone's taxes should be raised to avoid defaulting on the debt. Remember Stein does not speak for the Republican Party.
