Also we've discussed volition at length, but came to an impass as to whether or not predestination negates true will and choice.

I'd put it a bit differently, in that I disagreed that omniscience necessarily begets predestination in the sense you described. Also, as with my last example, I think it is rational to hold to our intuition of free will in lieu of a defeater.

Just live your life without thinking that your ideas are superior from the one next to you. Both if you are an atehist or a believer.

It is in the Politics & Religion forum. It's an interesting discussion, and as long as it doesn't interrupt the incredibly important threads about The Beatles or Radiohead or Arcade Fire or Pink Floyd then I don't see an issue.

Laughing

Besides, this is probably one of the least vile and hostile religious discussions I've ever been a part of on the internet.

I miss Gary even though I never got the chance to actually see him post before my own eyes. He is a legend in his own right. He was such an upstanding citizen who respected all, but not afraid to stand up for what he believed in. No one holds a candle to the legacy of Gary.

I seriously hope you're being facetious.

Statements like that will makes others think you're another one of his sock puppets. Think

Well, i am definitely not a sock puppet, but in that statement I was joking around knowing how disrespectful Gary was and the strong language he used. i just wanted to see people's reactions.
