I've been spending a portion of my paycheck on albums in the top 1000 and it has introduced me to a ton of great music. I'm interested in which albums you have bought because they were in the top 1000 and your opinions on them. Here are mine based on first impressions. Fortunately I have a daily three hour commute, so I have lots of time to give some of these another listen. Mr. Green

Okay

The Clash (London Calling), Elbow (The Seldom Seen Kid), Jeff Buckley (Grace), The Smashing Pumpkins (Mellon Collie and The Infinite Sadness), Supertramp (Crime of the Century), Tom Petty (Full Moon Fever), The Velvet Underground (The Velvet Underground & Nico), Violent Femmes (Violent Femmes)

Some Good Songs

Bjork (Debut, Post, Homogenic, Vespertine), Blur (Modern Life is Rubbish, Parklife, The Great Escape, Blur, 13), My Bloody Valentine (Isn't Anything), Nirvana (Bleach), Oasis (Definitely Maybe), The Stone Roses (The Stone Roses), XTC (Skylarking)

Solid

The Cars (The Cars), Green Day (Dookie), Nirvana (In Utero), Oasis ((What's the Story) Morning Glory), Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers (Damn the Torpedoes)

Spectacular

The Flaming Lips (The Soft Bulletin), My Bloody Valentine (Loveless), Nick Drake (Pink Moon), Nirvana (Nevermind), Pink Floyd (Dark Side of the Moon), The Smiths (The Queen Is Dead), Weezer (Pinkerton)

So what have you bought?

I enjoy having a physical copy of the albums that I really enjoy.

Currently that's about 40, but that's excluding pretty much everything before the 1990s that my Dad owns anyway. I may buy them sometime in the future.

I try to buy an album every week if I can.

I'd guess I have 250-300 of the top 1000 on CD.

I don't recommend always doing that, or very soon you'll be broke.

Why do people have to buy these CD's when they can just listen to them on YT?
