This Beatles song ... alot of people call it trash ... but this thread is to see what this song really is !
Tell your opinion about the song and say if you heard anything weird among those noises !

I feel like it can't be judged by the same criteria that most music is. I see Revolution 9 not so much as music but more as avant-garde sound art, and to that end I think it is brilliant

I love it! It's a beautiful collection of noises. It's actually quite terrifying. There is a section where I think someone is sobbing and I love it. Sends chills up my spine. If any Beatles song deserves hate, it's Yellow Submarine. That song is garbage. _________________

Number nine...number nine...number nine.........BOOBOOBOOBOOBOOBOOBOO!!
I actually like it! The song I hate however from this otherwise magnificent and bold piece of work which is The Beatles is Wild Honey Pie.

It is kinda weak as a standalone, but I feel like it works fairly well in the context of the album

I like it a lot. I wouldn't call it one of the better tracks on the album, but I definitely think it's better than "Revolution 1"! _________________ "The Beatles, the greatest band known to mankind." - Bismah Mughal

Had it instead been recorded today by a band like Bull of Heaven (who have done similar stuff), I imagine that the few people who'd actually hear it would laugh and then leave

i always thought John Lennon's attempts to make "avant-garde" music were pretty silly and rather pointless, tbh. he wasn't any good at it
as far as Revolution 9 goes, it has some interesting bits but it does feel like a very long 9 minutes...

It is one of the most frightening things I've ever heard. I don't particularly enjoy listening to it, but it is definitively not trash.
I remember the last time I heard it, I was alone, lying in my bed and after four minuts I realised I was terrified. Scared. Afraid!
It is not "music", not a "song", nor is it... Actually I don't know what to say _________________ One thing I can tell you is you've got to be free

I kinda agree with this.. I wouldn't listen to an album of songs like that. But album is filled with a large variety of everything, and to me it fits perfectly at the end. Possibly even better is the decision to follow it with a song like Good Night.
