I feel the 40's are being ignored because of it's lack of albums, and since it's getting the shaft, this would be a nice little solution to balance it out. Of course, they'd still get the shaft for year charts, but I feel this'll help even things out for the poor 1940's.

And I forgot to explain the idea, since the 1940's has no decade chart, and a decade chart for the 40's would be unfair, make the decade chart for the 50's be able to allow albums from the 40's.

Personally, I'm not in favour of combining (any) two decades. The 1940s performance is more due to an inherent lack of albums. Remember, half that decade contained a world war, and albums weren't really a popular format until the 1960s.

I agree.

That said, you could enable 40s charts... but they would be hurting for entries. And someone would request the same for 30s charts.
