Brilliant album. Sufjan's best work, hands down. (though I do enjoy all his albums for the most part)

I know it's supposed to be cute, but the song titles are just annoying. As for the actual music, I haven't listened to this particular album, but I haven't really liked anything else of his that I've heard, so I'm guessing I wouldn't get much out of this one, either.

Just today I was walking home from school and went past HMV which is open 5 more days, so their sale is like 70% off everything.

I went straight to the music section, to see if anything was worth having. The shelves were bare, what was left was just mounds of crap. But inbetween all the Rod Stewart Greatist Hits I saw Illinois by Sufjan Stevens. Damn that touched my heart. Just left there with no love. I was so close to buying it myself, but I already own it on CD.
How could people be so oblivious to such a masterpiece? A crime against modern culture.

Another album all the young hipsters were raving about a few years back but I couldn't find anything particularly special about it...indeed, it got pretty boring about 20 songs in...
