Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.8/100, a mean average of 77.2/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 78.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.8.

A tough listen in one sitting. Songs are too long and similar, hooks and hits are missing. Strong playing, yes.

Might be sacrilegious to say, but IMO this is their best collection of songs.

Generally a fan of Bob Mould and there's a lot to like here. But it goes on way too long.

Sometime long ago "Zen Arcade" struck me, I fell in love with this band and then, out of a sudden, I stopped listening to them around 1990. Grant Harts sad loss brought me back to their output, I looked at the songtitles, read reviews and whatever they might say, I could remember nearly each song from "Warehouse" even though it's a Double Album full of songs, while on all other albums from the band some titles didn't resonate in me at all. My favourite record of them might be the "Makes no sense at all" 7" with the wonderful version of "Love is all around" on the flipside, but yes, looking back, this here is for me not only their most memorable, but also most fascinating, touching and despite the lack of expermental tracks even their most "far out" album.

This sounds a lot like REM to me, it's much lighter than Zen Arcade.

Good but it would have been better if it was a single lp.

Great high energy album from a band most folks never heard of. And that's too band. Impossble to pick out any one track because it's all good.
