Drop Nineteens: the band, the myth, the legend. They released 2 albums in the early 1990s, led by the landmark shoegaze classic Delaware in 1992, and then broke up and thought to never be heard of again. And yet 30 years later, we have Hard Light, a reunion album that brings familiar and distinct sonic elements of their 90's sound to the present, as if no time has passed at all. A cohesive and solid album, more dream pop/rock adjacent than shoegaze, but with the hallmarks of a Drop Nineteens effort, including driving bass, fuzzy guitars, and the dreamy vocal pairings of Greg Ackell and Paula Kelley. Stand out tracks include Scape Flow, Gal, The Price Was High and T.
