Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 3% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 77.4/100, a mean average of 76.5/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 77.6/100. The standard deviation for this album is 13.5.

One of the better Brit_poppers. A fun album.
They are right about track 12 it does make me sad (someone being repeatedly punched in the stomach?). Rest of the album is great or good.
One of the best Britrock records I've ever heard. Only 'Sometimes I Make You Sad' makes me feel uncomfortable. This should not have been on the record, but I guess they just did that to show us, they were only In It For the Money!
The second half is good, but the first half is arguably the greatest moment of Supergrass' discography.
Bigger and better than the debut, there are incredible moments loitered around this
One of the few true gems in Britpop's cardboard crown.
Starts with a flourish, but loses steam by the end. If the whole album was like the 1st half, it would be high on my chart. Instead it's just really good.
I love this album, it always makes figures near the top of any list I make. "Late in the Day" and "Sun Hits the Sky" are the stand out tracks for me, but they are all good.
Five Stars!
I just loved 'cheapskate'.
Second pop at the charts by these cheeky chaps. Hitting the higher reaches with single after single from your first is bound to affect some bands. What did Fat Boy Slim say? I'm number 1 so why try harder? Oh Supergrass surely felt that way. And so they matured. Mum, Dad, meet the new "mature" Supergrass album. Stronger tunes? Yes. Tighter playing? Well... yeah. Lyrics about being on top and sensible content? No no no! You got this wrong. They matured alright... just not into boring get the kids and lay the carpet adults. No no no! This is songwriters blossoming at their craft. 'Sun Hits The Sky' is a jog through the a world taken by the machines and enjoying yourself all the while. Sounds like it could have been a cover of a late 60's classic. But it's not. Song by some 20 something I hear. 'Richard III' and 'G-Song' prove that Supergrass still spit and kick their amps to get the loudest screams. Richard III surely would be considered satanic if it had been played to it's name sake. Influences? Well everything from The Kinks, The Who and The Stooges can be seen here alongside contemporaries like Oasis and The Stone Roses. Even The Rolling Stones show their snout on 'Tonight' or at least the long awaited ghost of them. Could have been their own Satisfaction that could have! In fact... all of this is playing strength to strength to stealth to OH THIS ALL SO GREAT! The accordion and guitar waltzing from going off their minds from cannibalizing their own kind sound of 'Sometimes I Make You Sad' gets a thumbs up. 'Going Out' on the other hand has the band as wood figures at the carnival. Put a penny in dear and they will play you their own song styled from the echo's of 'Definitely Maybe'! It will be great! It is great! Everything has a merit here and I could put in so much more lines. And the title... these guys really don't care don't they? I like that!
