It's just very good soulful hip-hop. He's got a nice flow, even if his voice sounds a little too much like Andre 3000's at times. Content-wise it's pretty standard introspective-rap-by-numbers interspersed with some standard boast-rap-by-numbers, but it's done well. He's no Blu or Kendrick or anything, but it's still a really cohesive listen and he's obviously got skills. The production is cool and really full sounding, which is always a plus; you don't want your funk and soul samples sounding tinny - unless you're the aforementioned Blu - so props to The Stuyvesants for doing a good job on that front. If you like laid back, summery hip-hop then you'll enjoy this. If you don't then you won't.
