Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album is rated in the top 13% of all albums on BestEverAlbums.com. This album has a Bayesian average rating of 74.6/100, a mean average of 73.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 74.7/100. The standard deviation for this album is 17.0.

House Music's Reigniting Spark
Good record little bit over average.
Not a bad effort but they still had a lot to learn.
The songs are too simplistic and concise and that works to follow a trend but doesn't last. It needed some extra work to reach good. Also the singers choice isn't the best since most of them sound like tv contest pop soul singers.
Disclosure offer a heap of great dancepop tracks on their surprisingly impressive debut "Settle". The album is cohesive, the majority of guest vocalists bring their A-game & the production is catchy yet innovative enough to elevate them from the rest of the competition. Tracks like "White Noise" & "You & Me" are borderline stunning, so take a chance on this record if you're a fan of electronic/dance music. It's a lot of fun.
I really enjoy 3 and 4, but the album gets into a somewhat generic beat and rhythm from song to song. Interesting stuff going on still, and catchy as ever.
83/100
Nice
Inconsistent? Humbug! This is one of the most consistent popular EDM records I've heard in a while, definitely more so than Daft Punk's.
The album starts out strong, ends well, and is generally good in the middle. I'll agree that the album loses energy halfway through, but at its core the album has a chill out vibe, so it's surprising it even builds up so much energy at the start.
Top 5 of 2013.
Electro-house or IDM, if you're accustomed to such genre classifications, then you'll have an idea what's going on with Disclosure. To (possibly) give you an idea of what they sound like: 01) "when a fire starts to burn" sounds like a behaving death grips atop ibiza, 02) "latch" sounds like sharon jones atop an araabmuzik jam, and 03) "f for you", my fav track on the album, reminds me of a playful hot chip track. Those are the first 3 songs. It's spacey, club-minded and soulful...and a lot of fun.

I'm not really a fan of the album as a whole.. But I do enjoy the tracks with London Grammar, Sam Smith and AlunaGeorge quite a lot. The entire thing is fun though.
