Fatima is a woman of Asiatisch descent herself (Kuwaiti speficially), but this album's all about the far East and how the average Westerner perceives it. At times it's like an extended joke, and I had never really got into those flat synths that she is so fond of (y'know, the ones sound like a demo for some late nineties music software), but they really work on this album.
Best track: Shanzhai (for Shanzhai Biennial). An inspiring spooky take on Nothing Compares 2 U (by Prince, and then covered by Sinead O'Connor until he spat on her). Extra points for inviting Helen Feng to perform the vocal with the lyrics all in Chinese.

Fascinating electronic sounds, asian athmospheres...
Interesting and unique album, I´m not sure if I will ever love it.
