Rating metrics: Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)

This album has a Bayesian average rating of 59.7/100, a mean average of 58.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 58.8/100. The standard deviation for this album is 22.6.

Quite an improvement over Living Things with a rawer production and some creative songs. I'm not sure where it rankes compared with their other albums, but it probably falls somewhere in the middle.

The Hunting Party does Living Things better. Linkin Park has established themselves as a rock band with staying power and everything here sounds established compared to anything their peers releases for the genre.

But like Living Things, Linkin Park no longer sounds unique or all that creative. It is a straightforward by the number riff rocker. It is good and passable and better than Living Things.

I prefer A Thousand Suns and their prior work. But I get why their newer albums rock rock radio with a single here and there. It is good enough to do so and keeps the band in existence.

A pure rock album, trying to claw back some of their former glories, but it just feels underwhelming

great comeback after a mediocre album and a terrible remix album. This is their most aggressive work since Meteora or ever! strong 7/10

The first album I heard from Linkin, and i feel disappointed, really, I´m not a fan of his voice, typic, the same sound, I won´t choose a best track and a worst

Linkin Park are back to the old roots now! Hooray! Though I still did like some of their electronic rock music. This is definitely their strongest point. Pretty good album and quite frankly I think it's their best since Meteora. Good work Linkin Park!
