Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some albums can have several thousand ratings)
This album has a Bayesian average rating of 67.4/100, a mean average of 66.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 67.1/100. The standard deviation for this album is 15.6.

Quite underwhelming honestly. Love the Stones but this didn't do much for me. Beggars Banquet actually did way more and is super underrated. All of Bigger Bangs songs kinda just meld together.. I dunno I always thought it was generic sadly..
Enjoyed this more than I thought I would. Honestly, probably the Stones best album since Tattoo You in '81.
Best Song(s): It Won't Take Long; Laugh I Nearly Died; Sweet Neo Con
Voodoo Lounge is a little more raw, but this may be their best executed album since Tattoo You.
Endless. Getting through the entire album is a torture.
This place is empty, Biggest mistake and Back of my hand are the best tracks but still a 7 or 7.5 at best.
The rest are at best passable fillers while some 3 or 4 tracks are plain garbage.
Coming eight years after bridges to Babylon, a bigger bang is one of the stones strongest albums for years, although a little too long again. It's got some brilliant cuts in streets of love, biggest mistake and laugh, I nearly died. The best track has to be the funky, rain fall down, one of the best stones tracks for years. My personal favourite track though is Keith's gruff ballad, this place is empty. Rough justice is also good, as is the blues track, back of my hand. It's 16 tracks long and therefore too long. If they had cut it down to 12 by discarding dangerous beauty, she saw me coming, sweet neo con and oh no, not you again, it might well have become, as most critics seem to claim, their best album since some girls. Still, it's easily the best of the stones later albums, and their most enjoyable since, steel wheels, maybe even, tattoo you.
This seems to have more soul than anything they have done in over 20, possibly 30 years. Some solid tracks on here that stick. Some really boring ones. I like Rough Justice, Rain Fall Down, even streets of love, Back of my Hand (that terrible sounding early stuff that sounds like this, actually is realized to it's highest potential in this track due to advances in production), and Sweet Neo Con is an awesome commentary.
Better than Bridges to Babylon, yet another album where the Stones go back to doing what they do best. It's a little disjointed and overlong but it's still an okay listen.
