Tom Petty's celebration of daydreams and fantasy gives me permission sometimes to entertain the implausible, which is one of the most important things that art and music can do for us. "I'll be king when dogs get wings," he tells us, but "Excuse me if I have some place in my mind / Where I go time to time." Maybe I'll go there right now.
