Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 89.1/100, a mean average of 87.7/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 89.3/100. The standard deviation for this track is 14.2.

Masterpiece!
Such an elegant pop song. Its simple but all the instrumentation works so well together (piano, pad, guitar, bass).
Also probably a bit underrated in indie circles because some people just can't accept Coldplay can write good tunes.
Let me just say i love this song and i always have but it's not original at all in fact it's a rip off of The Cure's song called The Torture from Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me album.

Wasn't around when this song was ultra overplayed. Yes, I'm young. Yes, I love this song. The way he sings it has the perfect amount of emotion and vibrato. The instrumentation, while not as good, is still extremely good.
Nice song with help from Muse. Overplayed but still good
Definitely one of their best
It's really really overplayed, but if you really listen to it it's still a nice song.
Used to think this song was overrated and just ok. Now I think it is still overrated in terms of Coldplay songs but I love it
Probably Coldplay's best song to date
