Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. One of the common criticisms of Tusk is that there's too much filler. I disagree; I think almost everything on the album is good, including Lindsey Buckingham's coke-addled bouncy tunes. But "Save Me a Place" isn't very good--(intentionally?) out-of-tune vocals over a lurching, low-energy melody. It wouldn't have bothered me if the band had decided to trim this one.
It was OK.
