Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 89.6/100, a mean average of 89.3/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 89.9/100. The standard deviation for this track is 11.8.

Despite listening to BOB for more than 30 years I was never too keen on this epic closer so haven’t listened to it for about 5 years.
Listening to it now I can’t understand my ears through the years. Today for the first time (After around 100 listens I guess) I finally get it and I don’t know whether to laugh a lot, or cry like a train.

Best stand alone Dylan song. Sits at over 11 minutes, but still seems short when you listen to it. In a battle between this and Desolation Row, Sad Eyed Lady wins every time
So emotional. The 11 minutes end up being short. One of my all-time Dylan favourites.

Beautiful, smooth love song with an incredible instrumental pallet, truly a masterpiece!
Most days, this is my favourite Dylan song.

A wedding present for Dylan's first wife, Sara. When Dylan finished writing and recording it, he proclaimed it the best song he'd ever written. Clocking in at 11 minutes and 22 seconds, I guess you could call it a little self indulgent, but I'm not going to second-guess Dylan. One of the greatest and most mysterious love songs.

I am surprised that this classic is ranked so low
