Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 93.1/100, a mean average of 91.8/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 93.2/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.1.

This is the best song of 60s, yes it is even better than that one
Each British and American must listen 🎧 this song every day 👍🏻
I like the song very much but i don´t like the screaming from the instruments but the lyrics are genius.
The second best song of all time isn't half as good as this masterpiece.
Heroin is probably the best song about any drug, why? Well becuase this song explains the feeling of the drug. It does that with the lyrics, the sound of Lou Reeds voice and the tempo and intensity of the music. This song is just, wonderfull.
I can not express with words how much I love this song.
Never had a favorite song until I heard Heroin. Still is my favorite almost 2 years since I first heard it.
It's a song that purely talks about heroin yet encompasses so much more than that, never has brooding existentialism been so uplifting yet so depressing, so unrelatable (as I've never done heroin) yet so familiar, just imagine what would happen if Lou threw another chord in there: probably wouldn't be the same but once you let this song take a hold of you simply nothing in life is ever the same again.
I believe that this is a song you can listen to once and never forget.
How can you describe the rush of a drug (or any ecstatic "high") both in lyrics and music? Well this is it. Perfect in every way!
