Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 10% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 78.8/100, a mean average of 78.1/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 79.2/100. The standard deviation for this track is 12.1.

It doesn't really do too much for me as a single piece but put together with In That Quiet Earth yes it's a good piece of music. The latter is much stronger so I have to rank 'Slumbers' a bit lower.
The first half of the two-song instrumental that leads into the album's closing. Very ethereal and gothic-sounding with some beautiful synthesizer work from Banks scattered throughout, but not completely interesting or overly pleasurable to listen to. It just seems like a bit of an overlong introduction to ...In That Quiet Earth. I think I rate this as the worst song on the album, just a tad lower than Wot Gorilla?, as the prior instrumental at least has some nice moving moments in the middle. This is just kind of simple and slow for its entire duration. Not that there's anything wrong that, but everything else on this album is more interesting to listen to.
