Just classic Lizzy on a classic Lizzy album, 'Cowboy Song' has it all, the wistfulness, the rock, it's the nearest thing Lizzy did to a perfect album.
Not a great song, but there's a great guitar solo.

I only just heard this song for the first time as a 19 year old... but for some reason this song reminds me of being a child. Makes me think of times when I had no responsibilities other than picking up my toys...
