The greatest Bruce Springsteen song written by Tom Waits. Wait's version is utterly lovely but it is tailor made for Springsteen and Bruce himself seems to have acknowledged this by covering it during his live shows, extra verse and all, and by including it on his mammoth Live 1975-1985 box set. Lovely song by either Waits or Springsteen.
