Rating metrics:
Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. The mean average rating would be 50. However, ratings of 55, 50 & 45 could also result in the same average. The second average might be more trusted because there is more consensus around a particular rating (a lower deviation).
(*In practice, some tracks can have several thousand ratings)
This track is rated in the top 1% of all tracks on BestEverAlbums.com. This track has a Bayesian average rating of 91.5/100, a mean average of 90.4/100, and a trimmed mean (excluding outliers) of 91.7/100. The standard deviation for this track is 13.9.

Nr 1 on my all time best songs list.
The ultimate rock'n'roll anthem. The fire that burns inside every restless soul is perfectly captured on this glorious track. Again, as on the brilliant, Thunder road, the protagonists need to break on out of the place they're almost held prisoner in. All that's in store for them is all the drudgery and sweat and hard work that their parents have had to endure and that's not where this couple, or any of us, want to be. They acknowledge themselves as tramps but they still strive for something better, something they will probably never achieve. Yes, they will almost definitely end up in the same stifling situation as their parents did when reality comes knocking on the door, but, Born to run, at least for four and half minutes that the track plays for gives us all the hope that there is something better out there for us and all we've got to do is have the faith. As we all know life is never like that, but while, Born to run, plays, just for that moment, we can all truly believe. That's the genius of rock'n'roll and Springsteen understands that and he always will. A giant of a song.
I love this song with all the madness in my soul!
A "Must turn up when on the radio" track, also one of Springsteen's best and most iconic tracks.
BABY WE WERE BORN TO RUNNNN!! what a fantastic song, this song has the power to motivate you for life.
The greatest and most essential Springsteen song. Period.
Perfect song (anthem)
The title song of the album perfectly describes what this album is all about.
