Outliers can be removed when calculating a mean average to dampen the effects of ratings outside the normal distribution. This figure is provided as the trimmed mean. A high standard deviation can be legitimate, but can sometimes indicate 'gaming' is occurring. Consider a simplified example* of an item receiving ratings of 100, 50, & 0. Does anyone else hear The Office theme song in the intro? It cannot be a coincidence, even the guitar tone they used for the melody in the intro is similar to the keyboard/accordion tone of The Office theme song. This is definitely deliberate.
A great song. This song added a bit of spunk to the final guitar filled instrumentals that surround it in this trilogy. Cuomo initially wrote the song to be My Mystery, which I think would have worked better than Anonymous, but nonetheless it still works. The song is upbeat and builds up great to the final track on the album. This is my favourite part of the trio.
