Junodog has got it right. This just hasn't aged well. Some of the songs are still catchy enough (You Learn comes to mind), but much of it was unpleasant to listen to again. I'm wishing I hadn't dug it out for another listen.

You Oughta Know though is a perfect summation of the old adage "Hell hath no fury..." Damn! That song is scary. I wouldn't wanted Alanis on my bad side.
I don't think I've listened to it all the way through, unless it was forced on me at a 90's party, which it might have been, but I heard more than my share of the hits from this album.

If we could make a worst albums ever list, this, along with Blue (and a several others), would be on mine. It was annoying when it came out, I can only imagine it sounds worse now.

I couldn't agree more. Arguably the greatest female artist of her generation, in a similar way, for example, that someone like Joni Mitchell was to hers.

Lol.
Blue isn't my favourite Joni album, but it's certainly not 'worst albums ever' material.
And I find it easy to compare the 2 artists. Very similar, while in the same way representing their generation. _________________ Doubles & Conch
