Amen. I really thought I wouldn't get much out of it, but I had a lot of fun. I didn't give any songs higher than 85, but it was a great hour of my life.

If Phil Spector had produced West Side Story it would have sounded something like this. A top twenty greatest ever album. But I'm from Jersey so you might want to discount my vote. The greatest lyrics to any song...ever... are in Thunder Road. "...from your front porch to my front seat, the door's open but the ride ain't free..." and "...Show a little faith there's magic in the night. You ain't a beauty but, eh, you're alright..."
C'mon man, that's friggin' brilliant. He pretty much summed up my prom night (and first marriage) in one song. _________________ "Somebody oughta put out the big light because I can't stand to see you this way."

Awesome first side, overrated title track, and the last three songs are just weak.
I like The River and E Street Shuffle more.

I love this albums so much - it's almost perfect. Always guaranteed to put a smile on my face.
From his début, up to Tunnel of Love, Bruce had one hell of a run - and this may be the best of them all.

His latest album is up to the same standards, I'd say. Even if the ending is a huge let down.

Okay, I re-listened to this album today and I guess it is actually pretty good. It's still the only Springsteen album I can get through, though.
