If you don't like "Electric Feel", "Time to Pretend", or "Kids", you've got to be lying to yourself. They're all fantastic super catchy fun songs ("Time to Pretend" a little less fun, but still fantastic). "4th Dimensional Transition", "The Youth", "Weekend Wars", and "The Handshake" are some of my favorites. Overall I think the album's great. The singles are great, and the "filler" is also really great. Everyone who says otherwise is either kidding themselves, or...well...I guess just doesn't like this music.

i reeaallly hope you are partially kidding with this.

Alright, this album is pretty nice. I don't mind it, it's not boring, pretty generally it's a nice listen though I only play it every so often.

On the other hand, Congratulations is a pretty horrid album, one that I hope not to listen to again that often.

It's also pretty interesting to see which bands actually have these massive followings that overpraise them (MGMT definitely does. Every fan I've met is just astounded by them, including one of my old English teachers).

I also find it interesting the comparison between here and RYM. Here, this album is almost in the top 200 of all time. On RYM, it's barely in the top 200 of the year it was released. I disagree with both rankings. If anything, it's probably in the top 100 of the year for me.

Love them, especially the singles. Always nice to hear one of the first 5 tracks on the radio. Give me a summer feeling. The album is in my Top 100.

Well that's a shame.

Kidding in the silly way I wrote it, but not kidding in the fact that I really love the album, and that it has some great singles and the other songs are great as well. The first half of the album has some great anthems for adolescence and refusal to grow up.

Can't say I'm a fan. It's OK, but I don't see myself returning to it anytime soon. It got massively hyped and you couldn't escape it for a while. It's not bad, but I don't see anything particularly special about it. That said, contrary to what someone said earlier in the thread, it's a hundred times better than the latest Foxygen album.

Dude it's pretty darn good. Not in my top 500, but still I do like it.

All the singles are great. But "Peices of What" is a total standout for me, and was te first song I heard an liked from the album.

Got one ok song, but listening to the whole album reveals it's full of certain electronic noises that grate on the nerves...why anyone would choose those sounds to include in their music is beyond me. And mind you, this is one of the few acts that I've seen live where I came away thinking they weren't all that good.
