Lethal's not around to play cheerleader for this one, so I'll drop a quote from my listening log:

Quote:
Tonight I feel like shit about the world. At around midnight, I put on my headphones and listen to Metal Box (Public Image Ltd) and suddenly my cynicism is validated. I listen to them jam for 10 solid minutes about an albatross and then go on about memories like they were some half-listened-to conversation. I recognize it… my ADD-addled brain sees half of everything like an afterthought, with a nihilistic bent that would make Satan blush. And there it was… on record.

A must listen.

Those basslines.

Jah Wobble, you will be remembered as one of the bestest of the best.

Best paranoid album ever, you can feel the breath on your neck.

As important to post-punk as Bullocks was to punk. Going from Bullocks to this is as mind blowing as Radiohead shifting gears from okc to kid a. Maybe more so. Lyndon definitely was not afraid.

And yeah, those bass lines.

Yeah this is great and deserving of another dozen listens. Albatross has to be one of the best openers ever.

I've always a bit more of a Flowers of Romance fan, if I were to pick my favorite PIL album. But both are cool.
