in all seriousness, this is just a bizarre complaint. forum threads are, if anything, more malleable than charts, because people look at your post once and don't remember your picks at all and have to go dig for it if they really care to see your opinion again. literally all i remember from this thread so far is that a lot of people seem to like Pitchfork's 9.3s and there were a couple interesting looking things i scribbled in a note on my phone and couldn't begin to ascribe back to the user who posted them. if forum posts were life vows, my favorite album would still be a four-way tie between Violent Femmes' self-titled and three pre-1965 Beatles albums.

That being said, these are some of my favorite albums of the year that aren't getting the attention they deserve.
McMurtry has probably always been a little cantankerous, but this album the best in his 25+ years. Not as much political bitching and more harshly landscaped, character driven stories. This has been my surprise of the year.
I'm still stunned that I am the only person to have this album on a chart. I sorta thought this would catch with a lot of ppl and be a top 100 (if not 50) album this year. Debut album from Mother and Son Roots/Folk Duo. Check it out.
