Pitchfork recently reviewed this. While giving it a favorable review they fail to highlight just how amazing this album. Arguably their best in a dead heat with Village Green. The best vignettes ever written. Each song a masterful character study. One of the true masterpieces of 1960s and easily a top ten album from 1967 in pretty respectable company.
I love how there's a decimal place there on that 10 🤣 . I agree it's definitely among their best. I should do a favourite 5 for them some day. I wouldn't hold me to it though, I did promise you a Beat Happening one and where's that? 🤣🤣🤣I really hope you don't silently resent me
