Not THAT bad... The title track is classic Queen. The rest...? Kinda forgettable.
This B-movie soundtrack isn’t necessarily unpleasant to listen to, but it’s short, interspersed with a pile of cheesy dialogue and sound effects, and only contains two full fledged Queen songs. (Edited)
Just like the film it's wonderfully silly and brilliant. It compliments the movie perfectly and there is some great use of synthesizers on here. Flash's theme is obviously fantastic, but football fight and battle theme are also great. The hero, at the end is also very good. It just about gets away with being an album in it's own right. If you're expecting the usual Queen album i.e. one full of pop hits, epic rock songs and eccentric extras, this is not what you're looking for. But as a camp, silly soundtrack to a camp, silly film, it works marvellously. Job well done then, but it's hardly an essential Queen record. (Edited)
