Another woefully underrated album in 2014, another punk-inflected 1-2 punch, and this time evoking The Cars, in a way that should make them jealous.

If you liked Wild Flag's debut, then you should like Ex Hex. They share Mary Timmons in common and her grrl rock is at times tighter and with more energy on "Rips" than that Wild Flag album. Each song has a groovy purpose and Ex Hex remains focused throughout.
