Was this actually released as an album? I know that I've seen these sets before, but I thought they were just videos on youtube. I'd love to have this one on vinyl, because it might be one of the greatest things ever. Hard to find anyone better than Frankie Knuckles; he was the man.

This was a good record. Solid in every respect. However, it pretty much never deviates from my expectations based on its year and genres, and there aren't a lot of standout tracks. 3.5/5.
What a great album wonderful mix of funk soul and r and b. Was familiar with D'angelo but missed this album. Really quality record that will surely make my 2014 chart and up towards the top third as well. thank you. EDIT:Apparently i had heard before but this time it really hit me and stuck and moved up my yearly list.

I have never even heard a Grateful Dead record front-to-back before, so it's ironic that because of this game I will first listen to a solo album by someone in the Grateful Dead's expanded universe of tribute bands. Not only that, but an album by someone whose solo works have a combined total of zero ratings on RYM.

I had two other Jorge Ben albums under my belt, the one from '63 and Africa Brasil, so I was already familiar with the artist. This is a good to great MPB album with two standout tracks for me.
Zumbi- this song could be updated with modern instrumentation and production and be a hit.
Cinco Minutos- A great closer that could have went on for 5 more minutes.
Nice, good, pleasant, listen. Interesting given the context of an unfinished, years later, posthumous release. A bit rockier than the Beach Boys, which I liked, but some of the soft rock songs were a bit too mellow for my tastes. Strong middle section of the album.

It's a really good live album. Instrumentally strong, and they have a great ability to find a groove. This is a perfect album to space out to as expected, but I'm not sure how well it works for intent listening. In any case, this was a good intro to the Dead and I will most likely listen to more of their work in the years to come. 3.5/5.

Wow what a really cool atmospheric album, very enjoyable record i liked it as good music to work to. very cool. would be great as a score to a good movie. definitely will make my yearly chart, could eventually even make the decade chart it is that cool. i really appreciate this recommendation. it was a fun listen. 4/5.
An album I know really well but it's been a long time since I listened to it in full - since before I joined BEA - so it was a good opportunity to rate and re-rank it. It kept it's position in my yearly chart but moved up a bit in my decade chart. Absolutely love Here Comes A Regular - my favourite song of theirs. I'm a sucker for sad songs sometimes.
