The Shape Of Punk To Come by Refused

This is a pretty good and really interesting album. The main thing that brings my score down is the vocals. I can enjoy intense punk vocals, but have a problem with lots of outright screaming. Anyway, I plan to revisit this at some point, and it was worthwhile. 3/5.

PSA: If you guys and girls are interested for End Game, go watch it when you get the chance.
Now back to the regular scheduled program.
(1)

After listening to this album, I will say that the album is an interesting album musically. I mean there are portions of songs that I have to admit are cool and quite enjoyable. My complaint would then be how I wasn't engaged by all the way. There were points where I would start to get somewhat bored by it. Hell I would argue a few chunks of songs weren't good to my ears. But let me say I'm no expert in this genre and if there was anyone that made you curious of this album, do listen to this or try it out. But I wasn't that crazy for. Maybe the lyrical themes if I read into in would make me champion it, but I felt that the dope album cover would have made this more exicting.
Grade wise would be in the 70 to 75 range. Would be towards the a 70 though. But you never know. It could get better.

That was a fairly accessible jazz fusion/avant-garde album. It often would start off great, but sometimes went places less interesting, otherwise it'd go higher. Dug the final track in concept. 85

The La's by The La's

Yes, I'll have to side with the popular consensus that There She Goes is the best song here. However, there are a handful of other great songs, chiefly the 8-minute epic closer Looking Glass. Outside the standouts, this is good, if occasionally nondescript jangle pop. 3.5/5.

Wild Honey by The Beach Boys

I'm not much of a fan of The Beach Boys although they do have some great songs. This album, where The Beach Boys do blue-eyed soul, doesn't really have any great songs but I did enjoy the album as a whole. Just a nice, easy, pleasant, Sunday morning listen. 7.5/10, 16/20 for 1967, and 72/99 for the 60's.

Baystate: Listen to One Step Beyond. A classic ska album and one of my favourites a long time ago.

One Step Beyond... by Madness

There are a fair number of good songs on this, it's catchy, and it sometimes rocks, but it's also such a goofy album. This is my first time hearing a ska album that's not first-wave Jamaican ska, and I can't say I love the style. Overall my initial feelings are somewhat better than neutral. 3/5.

2. Listen to Bob Dylan's foray into country, Nashville Skyline, which has arguably his best vocals ever.

So I am getting close to where I was on my first file of Final Fantasy 7 but with better equipment and Gil. Really great game. Just had to share. Now onto the regular program.

(1)

I remember the last time I listen to this and I remember respecting it a lot but wasn't crazy for it. Now, I really enjoy it a lot. Like it is great. I would even argue it is excellent at points to be ambitious and entertaining metal album. I think my criticism would be how the low mix on a few of the songs makes me realize those technical aspects for albums. But that might be me. Otherwise I'm glad I gave this a revisit. Aenima is better but this is still an essential listen for metal music.
Grade wise:85 but could be a 90.

HIStory: Past, Present And Future, Book I by Michael Jackson

What an odd album. I'm not even talking about the first disc of greatest hits weirdly shoehorned in, because I wasn't about to listen to that. Luigii, you're right, Scream is a banger. And five tracks in, I was having a great time. But then things started to unravel. Even when considering only the new material, this is a front-loaded, bloated album (77 minutes) that jumps around between styles incoherently. And wow, Childhood has aged like milk, especially in light of everything. What a terrible, creepy song. There are enough good and great songs for me to keep disc two in my collection, but this is a hot mess, which was all the more disappointing because it started strong. 3/5.

Nashville Skyline by Bob Dylan

A Bob Dylan album without the unique characteristics of Dylan that make him great. It even sounds like he was trying to sing properly...I hardly recognised his voice. Points of interest for me were the duet with Johnny Cash - I hadn't heard that version before, Nashville Skyline Rag which was a cool, catchy instrumental, and Lay Lady Lay I only knew of from the Ministry cover - so that was interesting to hear the original. Overall it was okay, but every Dylan album I've heard I've liked more than this. 7/10, 31/34 for 1969, 90/100 for the 60's.

Baystate: Another great Modest Mouse album for you to check out.
