It had such a strong presence in the songs competition, so it feels ironic that it's not here, because I think it works better as an album. Seems people who might have nominated it wanted to highlight something less popular.
i think its more about exposure, its like a deep cuts tournament. that's more fun.
To each their own, but the original idea was for everyone to nominate their favorite album. I definitely would have made different choices if it were a deep cuts tournament.

Oh. That was just a mistake! I actually prefer both Have You In My Wilderness and Loud City Song to Aviary. Aviary would probably be in my top twenty/thirty for 2018 though. It sounded good but not great live at Pitchfork which was a little disappointing.
