Didn't know Argentina had and answer for 'Close To the Edge', but here it is. The first track is an absolute monster prog masterpiece, and is worth the price of admission alone. The other two tracks are good, but not to the same level.
Purple, Heaven or Las Vegas is a Dream Pop trip worth taking.

Really good atmospheric techno that remains interesting and pleasant throughout its 66 minute runtime, with the exception of the intro and outro. Glad to further my techno education with this one, and I wouldn't be surprised if it turns out to be a grower. 3.5/5.

It's a bizarre album by all standards. Highly experimental, which was to be expected with the musicians involved, but it somehow comes off as an even more perplexing experience than Walker's or Sunn O's own works. It's a match made in hell. 3 listens in and I've barely scratched the surface, but I think I like it. Pretty sure Chief would like it, and I guess I'll probably end up loving it too. Rip Scott Walker. 8/10

Sorry, I've been pretty consistent that there have to be ten options to choose from.
You could do what Luigii did and start one chart while ending another.
Or if you want to stay in the RYM top 500 for longer, you could check the boxes to include live and archival albums (which of course are not separate on BEA). When I did that I capped live albums I listed as options at 2 hours though, because there are some ridiculously lengthy ones there.
A wonderful album of traditional Greek Bouzoukee music that will have you saying "Opa!" in no time. ๐
I went to the local Greek Festival a couple of months ago, so seeing some dudes play this kind of music live is still in my mind. It's fun and playful stuff. Listen to if you like Django Reinhardt.

Coin Coin Chapter Three: River Run Thee by Matana Roberts
This is the third instalment of Coin Coin that I've listened to, got to listen to the second one in the near future. It was definitely the worst, by a margin. But that's not to say it was a bad album, it's just that Gens de Couleur Libres and Memphis are excellent. It was a pretty enjoyable album most of the time, although it lacks a bit of diversity and punch sometimes. It was all very low key, atmospheric experimental jazz, with some great moments. None of the songs have really stood out, but as a whole it's pretty solid. I love the great transitions between songs, they seamlessly and smoothly flow from one to another. That's the quality that I really love to hear, especially on concept albums. Looking forward to Matana finishing her Coin Coin series, I haven't been paying much attention to the story so far, but when she finishes the whole thing I'll certainly look deeper into the lyrics. 7.5/10

I actually liked this. The drums were good. Now I know the use of a China symbol... Sounds ok in this setting. The guitars sounded good in tone and instead of running scales obnoxiously it sounded like an intended sweep. Of course vocals are usually what I detest, but this guy actually had dynamics instead of sounding like smeagal the whole time. 3.5/80

This is pretty good country with great vocals. But it's just so tasteful and safe. Halfway through I was like: I bet this won the Grammy didn't it? So I looked it up, and sure enough, this Grammy bait was successful. It's a bit dull at times, but Alison Krauss makes it worth a listen. 3/5.
