Don't worry RoundTheBend. Sometimes I feel like I can't get that many sentences when talking about some records. Especially ones that I love immensely. But when I feel like I have something to or want to back up some of my claims, I could go on. But don't worry, I feel like I could go on with talking rather than typing. And my advice would take a break, write a few notes that make you either liking or not liking a project and relate it to other albums you enjoy or don't like. I believe in all of you to right a fruitful short review.

Sorry for giving you the wrong impression Luigii! I think the album is pretty crazy - the first time I heard "Ain't It Funny" I stared slack-jawed at the wall for the entire song. I'm still not sure there's another rapper that could rap over that beat. I also think "Really Doe" and "Dance in the Water" are some of the best tracks on the album. The "Really Doe" beat isn't too innovative but it's still a banger. "Dance in the Water" is crazy because it's basically a post punk track. I do think there are a few weaker songs ("Get Hi") but even on those Danny's rapping is great. It's not as face melting as Daughters or out there as Autechre but I think it's pretty crazy as far as hip hop goes. I guess one thing I like about it is that unlike a lot of the other "experimental" hip hop of the decade - Death Grips in particular - it still feels very indebted to hip hop despite being it's own thing.

I enjoyed reading your thoughts, even if I disagree with some of them. I couldn't get into that clipping album, mostly because of Daveed Diggs's rapping, but I did think the production was pretty cool. It definitely has more in common with the electronic acts on Warp so I could see why a fan of those artists would prefer it.

I do like Danny Brown way more than Death Grips, that's for sure.

Stress! by Benoit Widemann

Widemann played keyboards for Magma, so you should know what to expect here. Some zany Zeuhl from France. Keyboards play a bigger role and there are some solo piano compositions, but it's mostly just more zeuhl.

Luigii, I'd go with Women.

Dire Straits by Dire Straits

This was a pleasant surprise. It's not really my kind of thing at all, but it's likeable and very well-written. I already knew Sultans of Swing, which I really like. But Wild West End also stood out as a highlight. I'm not a huge fan of Knopfler's voice on some of the tracks, but overall this definitely exceeded by expectations and I'm less worried about there being a couple other albums by the band on my list or coming up soon.

Chief, let us know if Brain Sounds' attempt was successful.

Tri Repetae by Autechre

This is the third Autechre album I've listened to and it is easily the most listenable of the three...I did not enjoy Confield at all. Although overlong and a bit too repetitive at times, there were bleeps and bloops and musicality to keep me mostly interested. Bear in mind I don't really listen to much IDM so my problem with this was that I felt a cold detachment throughout. It wasn't until Eutow that I felt any sort of emotional response to the music. 7/10, and 36/40 for 1995.

I listened to Permanent Waves through this game and enjoyed it so give that a shot next.

Looping State Of Mind by The Field
I haven't listened to anything by Axel Willner before, he's one of those guys who is constantly on my shortlist. Well as far as first impressions go, this is excellent. Loved the more melancholic elements of it, like the piano on Then It's White. The first few minutes of the title track were my favourites on the entire album, but unfortunately that song drags just a minute or two too long. The same can be said of the entire album, if it was a bit shorter I'd probably appreciate it more. But then again, I can be a bit picky when it comes to repetitive electronic music like this. The Field will get some more listens when I'll be preparing for exams in April, I'm sure. It has the "warm spring nights" vibe. 7.5/10

Before I start, I want to thank babyBlueSedan providing some evidence why he enjoyed Atrocity Exhibition. Also no hard feelings. I bring this up because this record I don't have as much things to say about it.

Yeah, this is probably one of those records that stroke a certain chord for people due to being at the right place and the right time back in 2010. Because while there are a few songs that I enjoy. Most of the songs while having some good ideas, just sound somewhat middling or have parts that I'm not to keen on. I would say the tracks I really love are the tracks that go for a more enveloping wall of sound quality. But I think the bigger problem is unlike the last review where I had stuff to say and could have said more, this record leaves me with not much to say. I feel like if someone talked to me and went into detail why this was such a big deal, maybe I would have considered or had more musical context, I would have more to say. In conclusion, this is one of those albums that if I was invested with music back in 2010 compared to now, I would be more ecstatic. But this one leaves me somewhat hanging and wouldn't be in my top 100 of the 2010's at all. Grade wise it is a 70 but could either tether to a 65 or maybe a 75 depending how I feel.

LedZep, I don't know if you are going to tackle everything of this pick but I would say NTS Sessions 2. If you aren't crazy about it go to NTS Sessions 4, probably the most welcoming session of that album.

Permanent Waves by Rush

I already knew "Spirit of the Radio" because it was one of the only songs I could never beat on expert mode in guitar hero. It's a good song musically, but it's incredibly clunky lyrically. Especially that "shatter the illusion of integrity" line. I think the opener is the best song here, and the rest wasn't quite as interesting. I liked Hemispheres better than this one.

The Way Out by The Books

Give this one a try next, Luigii.

An Attempt To Record Coincidence by Brain Sound

Truly a bizarre record, and although it's nigh unlistenable at times, it's certainly an interesting experiment. There aren't many avant-garde record purely for the voice, so if you're interested in weird shit, then this is a must.

Babyblue, Misplaced Childhood is another prog album. Give it a try.
