His one solo LP wasn't in the database, so I added it — it's quite nice actually, sort of a neo-classical, abstract/avant-garde/almost-ambient affair with short pieces, mostly piano/synths and occasionally jazzy horns, which I guess isn't what you'd expect from a guy who was in Primal Scream and the Charlatans. Although... maybe, since he was also in Felt.
Earlier this year I went on a calypso-binge, realizing I knew very little about the genre, it's history, the culture, and musical highs— and despite only scratching the surface (~30 artists/albums give-or-take) it was something I recommend everyone here does at some point or another. One of the earliest genres to make it onto wax, not to mention of the oldest modern genres in general— calypso outdates Beethoven, Chopin, Mozart and Mendelssohn by well over 100 years—
One of my standout finds during the dig was Black Stalin, who has passed away at 81. I highly recommend his album In A Earlier Time—

Gangsta Boo has reportedly passed away. She was only 43. Terrible way to start the year, losing one of the most legendary members of Three 6 Mafia.
