Perhaps the best-known all-vocals pop album in recent years is Bjork's Medúlla. Most of the songs aren't completely a cappella though, and there's a fair amount of sample-playback and percussion going on, though supposedly that was mostly (or all?) done with vocal samples too. Personally I'm not a huge Bjork fan, but you can't fault her creativity level!
However, don't be fooled by this album, which in any event is not a capella.

Hmm... Interesting question! Certainly not if you're a member of the Rajneesh Movement, but "YMMV," as they say. Thing is, "The Lord" in this case refers to Greg Anderson aka The Lord, who is also one of the two regular members of Sunn O))), and I kind of doubt you'd like Sunn O))), though I guess weirder things have happened. But you can always listen to the album on Bandcamp if you just want to make sure about the whole blasphemy thing.

Naah, you're being too didactic. There are plenty of usages for the term "Lord" that have nothing to do with religion — you could be "Lord of the Manor," or "Lord of the High Seas," or a member of the House of Lords, or Lorde, or Deep Purple's Jon Lord (though he's deceased), or even just a typographical error occurring whilst trying to type the word "Lard" into a biscuit recipe (admittedly the "a" key is all the way on the other side of the standard keyboard from the "o" key, but that doesn't quite stop everybody).
You can't be "Lord of the Rings" though, because that's a fictional character, but you could call yourself "Lord of the Flies" and probably get away with it because that isn't really a character per se, it's more of an iconic symbol, and nobody cares if you name yourself after a symbol. (I do it all the time.)
Don't worry either way though - if I ever meet Greg Anderson I'll be sure to tell him not to read the BEA forums, just in case! 😄
