You know what you're getting here pretty much but it's still good and I enjoy it nonetheless, it's Wet Wet Wet's 3rd entry into the series and whilst I feel unusual about opening Now 12 with a cover, it did become a number 1 single in the UK for them.

This is one of the better ones if you ask me, Maxi Priest is a UK reggae artist of Jamaican origin, this being his first real big hit on his third album.
You know what your getting song wise here, with an infusion of both reggae and pop though, it seems to work, an enjoyable entry.

More reggae here, Now moving away from their house music phase and into their reggae phase apparently.
This was an unusual choice, Aswad, a reggae fusion group from London had previously had a big hit, the biggest of their careers with a song called Don't Turn Around, this was the follow up single, which didn't have the same impact, hit 11 on the charts but quickly fell away and was forgotten.
It's fine, not was catchy as Wild World for comparisons sake, got that whole reggae fusion thing going on, but really it's not leaving a lasting impact on me.

Originally released in 1980, this remix has apparently got something to do with Dutch radio in 1988 and the remix ended up being a solid hit in the UK, hitting number 4.
Not overly different if you ask me, maybe even takes that bit longer to get going in reality, it's a good song though, Phil Collins' fourth entry in the series.
They've varied in the quality, but this is one of the better ones.

A relatively successful pop rock effort from Irish band, Hothouse Flowers, this was naturally a huge hit in Ireland, and definitely the biggest of their careers.
They are still going but new music hasn't been forthcoming in years anyway.
Not sure how well known this is in the US, but it did reasonably well in a few other countries anyway.
Good pop rock that still gets a lot of playtime in my neck of the woods.

Fairly Smiths-esque at times, definitely top 100 worthy. Viva Hate being a good album generally.
