It's kind of nothing to me, Hazell Dean was a late 80's dance pop artist who had a reasonable hit with this, and is still going strong, a cover of an earlier country song by Anne Murray, it's not my thing really.

An absolute classic of old school R&B/hip hop, one of their first hits and huge single off their debut album, Push It is possibly the defining moment of the career of Salt 'n' Pepa, it's an all out banger to be honest and still holds up years later.
Has to go in the top 50, knocking out Run DMC, but it's a different style of iconic hip-hop, settled on the 30's, but could easily have gone higher and I believe we will be seeing Salt 'n' Pepa again later on.

I enjoy this style of 80's hip-hop, real Eric B and Rakim like (who I love), which makes sense as he did work with them from a production point of view, this was off the one and only album released by UK rapper Derek B.
It's good stuff, not ground breaking, but I really this style of stuff so it's right up my alley.
Sadly he passed away from a heartattack at the age of 44.
