If we are supposed to be talking about actual records and not albums on any other format, the first record that I remember buying was Billy Joe Royal's self-named album released in 1980, and I got it from the Amazon website in 2016.

Bought back in the late 60’s. Don’t ask me why I chose this as my first ever purchase. The reasoning has been lost to the sands of time. I do remember that I bought it in solihull (a smallish town on the outskirts of Birmingham) which no longer exists ( the record shop, not the town!)
