I have never been a fan of

Their Satanic Majesties Request (1967) by The Rolling Stones

but this is one of the best tracks off the album. It was an interesting diversion for the Stones but ultimately a disappointment and an unnecessary diversion from one of the best bands of all time

This has got to be one of the greatest double-sided hit singles ever. She's a Rainbow was the bigger hit, but I think they were both A-sides on the label. Or maybe somebody just told me that.

Another great Psych track.

Putting the two best tracks on the album as a double A side! Not sure that was the best thing to do from a commercial basis but as a single for the fans, brilliant.

Pretty much an instantly recognisable track but I couldn't have told you who recorded it. Really "dig" this man!

Excellent stuff

This is really cool. I never heard this version before. I like how they slowed it down and made it like psychedelic acid rock. Everyone knows the Monkees version, but the one by Paul Revere and the Raiders is still the definitive one

there are a number of great covers of this track. Thanks for sharing the Paul Revere version roberto.

this is great. I have to admit a bit of a fondness for It's A Beautiful Day

This is one of their best. Great track

I never did hear this whole album but I always wondered what it was like. The only track I knew was the great White Bird. I figured the rest of their stuff was probably more folky, but this track here is really good. I didn't think they would be so rock-y.

There are elements of folk in their stuff but they are a much more rocky band than you might think. White Birds is great and so is

Sound familar?

IABD's best album, IMO is

It's A Beautiful Day (1969) by It's A Beautiful Day

I'm not sure why you would go for this when

Is so brilliant. Maybe to mix it up during the session and the Blind Melon track is decent but you can't beat Steppenwolf

The next one is one which I think most of us will be rather familiar with

I love it

Next up was one of my picks. Does this need any introduction? Greatest guitar work of all time? Certainly a contender

Very psychedelic

It's Ok but nothing to write home about TBH

The penultimate track for Augusts session was

I'd probably say more prog than psych but still a very decent track
