One of the all time greatest (and most underated) early rock bands. Yes their later albums could be patchy but there were always moments of brilliance & their best albums (such as their first) were some of the best of all times. And they had 'no compromise'top 40 rock hits to boot. Criminally overlooked for ' super deluxe reissues & box sets while lesser groups have history recreated by rock journalists & other major record label hacks.
Although they have a couple of hit singles, like Born To Be Wild, they have been overlooked as a band. John Kay's voice is really awesome and they're the perfect band to listen to while road tripping.
