This is a new monthly feature to highlight the top albums released in the previous month and shine more light on new releases and music from the current year. This post will be created midway through each month (looking back at the previous month), to allow albums from the previous month to accumulate enough data to appear in this post.

"Absolutely unreal, it feels like such a breath of fresh air for the singer-songwriter genre. It's eclectic in all the right ways, and personal, without being in your face with how clever it thinks it is. Phoebe is very critical of her self, but acknowledges how far she has come by diving into times in the past where she has been able to learn and grow, as all of our past experiences make us who we are."

"Interpol have (finally?) broadened their sonic palette, bringing in some elements that remind me a lot of Banks’ work with his side project Muzz. But there's more: the album also draws influences that feel quite atypical for Interpol, perhaps thanks to Brad Tuax’s involvement in the songwriting as well, and for sure to their producer, that pushed them outside the box. The album has an excellent flow, moving between airy tracks with subtle textures and more classic, driving songs, with piano, synths and strings adding richness to the arrangements. One of my favorite albums of 2026."
