My favorite pop artist is Sara Bareilles. I think she's like a female Elton John. Beautiful catchy piano pop songs, with some guitar thrown in for good measure occasionally. Both of her albums are absolutely great.

They are/were a great band that not a lot of people know about. They don't really fit into a genre...I've heard them described as progressive bluegrass if that exists.

chris thile is in there, hes like king fiddler or whatever. i like his other band better cuz it showcases his virtuosity
plus they do radiohead covers, they took down teh best one

New discovery to me, while searching for some more quality yugo music. I've heard of the guy before but I didn't know he made such well crafted pop music. I think the song is from 1979 (appeared on an album a year later), doesn't seem dated at all
